Private Residential Tenancies Board (PRTB)
The Private Residential Tenancies Board (PRTB) was established in September 2004. Its main function is to provide a mechanism for resolution of disputes between landlords and tenants. From September 2004 all landlords are obliged to register new tenancies with the board. The PRTB dispute resolution service replaces the courts in relation to the majority of landlord and tenant disputes.
